Battle of Little Bighorn
Fought on June 25, 1876, this battle is one of Americas greatest defeat and the Indians greatest victory. This battle was fought by the 7th Calvary led by Cutler, against a band of Sioux and Cheyenne warriors near the little bighorn river. This was because Americans got greedy and went on the land they gave to the Indians after signing a treaty. All just for gold. This obviously broke the treaty, increasing tensions between the U.S. and the Indians. Allot of the tribes left the reservations and came together to be stronger and rebel against the U.S.
Custer and his troops lost for a few reasons. They attacked without waiting for reinforcements, they were on unfamiliar territory, they were vastly outnumbered, and they were fighting for the wrong reasons and i feel like that played a role in how hard they fought. Custer and about 200 of his men were ambushed by around 3000 native Americans. They were all slaughtered including Custer in about a hour.

I wonder why Custer attacked without waiting for reinforcements if he knew he saw hurting. I think he went in because he wanted his pride. What do you think?
